Revised vacancies do not reopen the application

WBPRB published a revised vacancy notice for the Kolkata Police 2024 recruitment. A revised vacancy table changes the distribution or count for that named cycle; it does not automatically create a new application window for people who did not apply.

How to identify the correct stage

1. Match the recruitment name and year in the notice heading.
2. Check whether the document is an application notice, exam schedule, answer key, result or PMT/PET call.
3. Use only the candidate login/admit-card route linked from WBPRB.
4. Match roll/application number, category, stage, venue and reporting time.
5. Check later corrections or revised schedules under the same recruitment entry.

PMT, PET and syllabus rules

Do not copy WBP physical standards into Kolkata Police recruitment or mix male, female, category and special-group rules. The controlling information booklet defines height, weight, chest measurement where applicable, run distance/time, age, education and language requirements.

The written scheme, marks and negative marking must also be checked in the official cycle document. Historical preparation can be useful, but it is not a substitute for the applicable notice.

Build a stage tracker for the Kolkata Police 2024 cycle

Write the recruitment name at the top of a one-page tracker and add each completed stage with its date: application, written communication, answer key or result, PMT/PET call, interview or verification, and final recommendation where applicable. Attach the notice that authorises each stage. This prevents a revised vacancy or later result from being confused with a new recruitment opening.

Before attending any physical or verification stage, match your roll or application number, candidate category, venue, reporting time and required identification with the latest official notice. Carry only the documents and number of copies requested. Keep the original information-to-applicants booklet because later notices are normally read together with the rules of the same cycle.

Physical-test preparation and safety

Train progressively and use the exact standard for your candidate group only after confirming it in the official booklet. Do not copy a running time, height or chest standard from West Bengal Police, another category or an older Kolkata Police cycle. Stop training and seek qualified medical advice if you experience chest pain, fainting, severe breathlessness or an injury; no recruitment target justifies unsafe exercise.
