WBSSC Group C & D Recruitment 2025: 2026 Notices & Syllabus

WBSSC Group C & Group D Recruitment 2026

Status checked: July 27, 2026

The official WBSSC portal identifies the Clerk and Group-D process as 1st SLST (NTS), 2025. Notices published during 2026 can belong to that existing cycle and do not automatically create a separate “2026 recruitment.”

Use the official WBSSC 1st SLST (NTS) recruitment portal for the notification, candidate access and later notices. This page removes old predicted vacancy, syllabus, salary and selection claims that were not tied to the controlling advertisement.

How to identify whether applications are open

A genuine fresh application notice states the recruitment name, posts, vacancy distribution, eligibility, age cutoff, fees, registration dates and official application route. A scribe-facility notice, admit card, answer key, result, counselling list or document-verification schedule serves candidates from the cycle named in that document.

If you already applied, use the candidate route connected to the official portal. If you did not apply for the 2025 cycle, do not enter personal details into a third-party page claiming to reopen registration.

Eligibility and post rules

Clerk and Group-D can have different educational, age, language, reservation and document conditions. Read the notification and later corrigenda together. Do not copy qualification or salary figures from an older recruitment and label them as current rules.

Check the cutoff date used for age and qualification, category-certificate requirements and the exact authority that must issue each record. A candidate who meets a general educational level can still be ineligible if another notice condition is not satisfied.

Syllabus and examination preparation

The official scheme or syllabus for the named cycle is the master checklist. Avoid tables labelled “expected marks” or “anticipated topics” when WBSSC has already issued cycle documents. Record the subject, number of questions, time, marking rule and practical or typing requirement only after locating them in the applicable official material.

For preparation, divide each official unit into revision blocks and use timed practice. Clerk candidates should practise any officially required computer or typing component according to the cycle instructions. Group-D candidates should not assume that a Clerk practical test or a historical interview stage applies to them.

Candidate-stage checklist

  1. Match the notice heading with 1st SLST (NTS), 2025.
  2. Confirm Clerk or Group-D and the candidate group addressed.
  3. Read the original notification plus corrigenda and the latest stage notice.
  4. Save the application, admit card, payment record and official communication.
  5. Check roll/application number, date, venue and reporting instructions.
  6. Carry originals and self-attested copies only as the verification notice requires.

Result, panel and appointment

A written result or shortlist is not an appointment. Document verification, practical or other stages, panel preparation, recommendation and joining must be understood from the official process. A revised list can change candidate status within the same recruitment without opening a new application window.

Related recruitment guides

Do not mix this process with the Assistant Teacher SLST guide, WBPSC Clerkship guide or India Post GDS guide. Each has a separate authority, advertisement and candidate portal.

Fraud warning: Do not pay for a shortlist, marks change, panel position or appointment. Never share an OTP, password or remote-screen access with an unofficial contact.

Common questions

Is this a new WBSSC Group C/D Recruitment 2026?

The official portal currently identifies the process described here as 1st SLST (NTS), 2025. A later-dated notice does not rename the cycle.

Can a non-applicant use a 2026 stage notice?

No. Later-stage notices are for candidates covered by the named recruitment unless WBSSC expressly invites fresh applications.

Which syllabus should I follow?

Follow the official scheme or syllabus attached to your recruitment cycle. Do not rely on predicted mark distributions.
