Status checked: July 27, 2026
BengalEduHub has not confirmed one statewide West Bengal Civic Volunteer application window for 2026. Enrolment notices can be issued for a specific police unit, commissionerate, division or local jurisdiction. Check the West Bengal Police recruitment page, the Kolkata Police website, and the exact issuing unit before applying.
This is an independent notice-status and verification guide. It is not an advertisement, application form or promise of a police appointment. A dated notice from the competent authority is required before any eligibility, vacancy, deadline, honorarium or selection detail can be treated as current.

West Bengal Police and Kolkata Police are not interchangeable
A Kolkata Police enrolment notice applies only to the jurisdiction, unit and vacancies described in that notice. It does not automatically announce recruitment under every district police unit in West Bengal. Likewise, a district- or commissionerate-specific notice should not be presented as a statewide drive.
Before sharing or acting on a notice, identify its exact issuer. Check the heading, memo/enrolment number, date, office address, jurisdiction and signatory. If a post title says only “West Bengal Police” while the PDF belongs to a particular unit, read the PDF—not the social-media caption.
How to verify a genuine Civic Volunteer notice
- Open the relevant official police website yourself instead of using a shortened or forwarded link.
- Locate the same PDF or announcement on the recruitment/notice section.
- Match its notice number, publication date and issuing office.
- Confirm the unit, division, police station or area for which enrolment is invited.
- Read the vacancy, eligibility, residence, documents, submission and selection clauses in the full notice.
- Check for corrigenda, extensions, cancellation or result notices carrying the same reference number.
A genuine notice should normally identify the issuing authority and provide enough information to verify where and when it was published. A poster that omits the authority, memo number or full terms is not a substitute for the official document.
Fraud warning: Never pay an agent for guaranteed Civic Volunteer enrolment, a favourable interview or a place on a panel. Do not disclose an OTP, banking PIN or payment-screen access. Use only the submission and payment instructions—if any—written in the verified official notice.
Eligibility depends on the issuing notice
Past Civic Volunteer notices may refer to age, education, residence within a local police-station area, physical ability, character/background or other requirements. Those past conditions cannot safely be declared as one fixed 2026 statewide rule. The notice for the exact unit and enrolment cycle controls.
Make an eligibility checklist directly from the current PDF. Write each condition, the cutoff date used to calculate it, and the document needed as proof. If your address sits near a jurisdiction boundary, confirm the applicable police-station area with the issuing authority before submitting.
Documents: prepare only what the notice requests
The competent notice may ask for identity, age, address, educational or other supporting records. Requirements and self-attestation rules can differ. Do not upload a full Aadhaar, bank document or other sensitive record to an unofficial form merely because a blog or video lists it.
Safe application workflow
- Download the complete notice: save the main PDF, annexures and prescribed form together.
- Check the last date and time: do not rely on a search-result snippet or thumbnail.
- Use the prescribed format: never reuse an application from an older enrolment.
- Follow the exact delivery route: online, post, in-person or drop-box instructions must come from the notice.
- Keep evidence: retain a copy and receipt/acknowledgement where the authority provides one.
- Track the same source: verify interview, shortlist, panel and result updates against the original notice number.
Role and service conditions
Civic Volunteers assist police and civic/public-safety activities according to deployment and official directions. This description does not make the role a permanent police post, and it does not establish a current honorarium, duty schedule, tenure or benefit. Only the applicable government order and enrolment notice can define those conditions.
Common questions
Is Civic Volunteer Recruitment 2026 open across West Bengal?
We have not verified one common statewide application window as of July 27, 2026. Check the relevant police authority and jurisdiction.
Can I use a Kolkata Police notice to apply in my district?
Only if that notice explicitly covers your area and you meet every stated condition. Do not assume it applies outside its named jurisdiction.
Is Class 8, age 20–60 or direct interview a fixed statewide rule?
This page does not present those old generic claims as current rules. Read the exact current notice for the unit and cutoff date.
Where should I check a result or interview list?
Use the official website or office of the authority that issued the enrolment notice. Match the notice number, unit and applicant details before relying on a list.
