Why the recruitment year matters

A recruitment opened in 2024 can continue through written examination, result, physical measurement, physical efficiency, document verification, interview or final recommendation in later years. The date of a new update does not rename the original recruitment as “2026”.

Before following any notice, confirm the post, recruitment year, notice number, stage and candidate group. A result notice is not an invitation for new applications.

How to check your official update

1. Open the WBP recruitment page or WBPRB portal directly.
2. Select the exact “Constables in West Bengal Police” recruitment entry and year.
3. Read the latest notice along with the original advertisement/information booklet.
4. Check roll/application number, stage, date, venue and document instructions.
5. Download admit cards only from the official candidate route and keep a copy.

Physical test and syllabus guidance

Do not mix physical standards from Kolkata Police, an older WBP cycle or another category. Height, weight, chest measurement where applicable, run standard, age, language and category relaxations must be taken from the controlling information-to-applicants document.

Keep WBP and Kolkata Police records separate

West Bengal Police Constable and Kolkata Police Constable recruitment can have different advertisements, vacancy tables, physical standards, candidate portals and stage schedules. Create a folder named with the exact force and recruitment year. Do not use an admit-card or PMT/PET link merely because both posts contain the word “Constable”.

Inside the WBP 2024 folder, keep the information-to-applicants document, application proof, identity and qualification records, category documents where applicable, admit cards, answer-key or result notices and physical-stage communication. Match later documents with the same recruitment entry before acting on them. A revised schedule should be saved alongside the earlier one, with the latest version clearly marked.

Candidate data and recruitment fraud protection

Open the official recruitment page directly and verify the domain before entering an application number or date of birth. Do not send an admit card, identity document or category certificate to a person offering selection help. WBPRB communication should be checked against the public notice and candidate portal; an unofficial call or message cannot guarantee a physical-test result or appointment.
