Official WBSSC notices published in 2026 refer to the 2nd SLST (Assistant Teacher), 2025 for Classes IX–X and XI–XII, including counselling, document verification, interview/lecture demonstration, panel and waiting-list stages. They are not a separate “WB SSC SLST Recruitment 2026” application cycle.
The previous article said the official notification was pending and presented expected age, salary and syllabus. That framing is outdated. This page now helps existing candidates identify the correct 2025 recruitment stage.

How to identify your stage
- Check whether the notice says Classes IX–X or XI–XII.
- Match subject, medium, category, roll number and recruitment name.
- Identify counselling, verification, interview or lecture-demonstration stage.
- Download the intimation letter only through the official candidate route.
- Check revised schedules, substitute vacancies and court-compliance notices under the same cycle.
Syllabus and scoring
The official 2nd SLST (AT) 2025 recruitment information states an MCQ-based written examination with 60 one-mark questions, 90 minutes for general candidates, additional time for eligible PH candidates and no negative marking. Candidates should still read the subject/class-level rules and official notices relevant to their own application.
This 2025 scheme should not automatically be labelled as the syllabus of a future recruitment. A future advertisement may change eligibility, vacancy distribution, score calculation or selection stages.
Counselling and vacancy updates
A combined merit list, substitute-vacancy notice or counselling schedule is for candidates already in the named 2025 process. It does not reopen registration. Match every PDF with the original recruitment and keep copies of the intimation letter and required records.

Document-verification preparation for 2nd SLST candidates
Prepare a stage-specific file instead of carrying an unorganised bundle. Keep the application acknowledgement, admit card, intimation letter, photo identity, academic and professional-qualification records, category or disability certificate where applicable, and any experience or language document specifically requested in the official notice. Use originals plus the number of self-attested copies stated by WBSSC. Check that your name, subject, medium and category are consistent across the application and certificates.
Before leaving for a venue, read the latest notice again for reporting time, document order and special instructions. A generic checklist from another class level or subject cannot replace the notice addressed to your candidate group. If a certificate has a spelling difference, obtain the appropriate supporting record or clarification rather than editing a scan.
Panel, waiting list and appointment are different stages
A merit or panel notice records a recruitment-stage outcome under the applicable rules. A waiting-list position is not the same as an appointment letter, and counselling does not guarantee final appointment. Candidates should follow the authority named in each notice for vacancy matching, recommendation, medical or police verification and joining instructions.
Save every PDF with its publication date and recruitment name. This creates a clear timeline if a revised schedule or substitute-vacancy notice appears.
