WBBPE conducted a Teacher Eligibility Test on 22 February 2026 for recruitment of Special Education Teachers in Primary Schools. This specialist examination should not be presented as a general “WB Primary TET 2026” for all primary-teacher aspirants. BengalEduHub has not verified a separate general Primary TET 2026 application notice.
The earlier article described one upcoming general examination with fixed rules. It has been replaced with a notice-type guide so candidates can distinguish Special Education TET, general Primary TET and recruitment/interview updates.

How to identify the correct TET notice
- Read the complete post/category name in the notice heading.
- Check whether it says general Classes I–V TET or Special Education Teachers.
- Match application dates, exam date, qualification and candidate portal.
- Do not combine eligibility from NCTE/general TET with a specialist notice without official support.
- Check answer-key, result, interview and merit-list notices against the same examination.
Eligibility and syllabus
Special Education Teacher eligibility can require qualifications different from a general primary-teacher TET. The applicable WBBPE notice and national regulatory requirements control. Similarly, the exam scheme, qualifying standard and document requirements must be read from the specialist examination documents.
For a future general Primary TET, wait for a fresh WBBPE advertisement before relying on coaching material labelled “2026 syllabus”. Old TET patterns can support practice but cannot confirm the next notification.
Fake-notice warning: WBBPE has previously warned about fabricated interview/aptitude-test notices. Verify every PDF on the official Board website and never pay for inclusion in a merit or interview list.
Common questions
Was a Primary TET held in February 2026?
Yes, but the official notice identifies it for Special Education Teachers in Primary Schools.
Can every D.El.Ed candidate treat it as the general TET?
No. Eligibility depends on the specialist notice and qualification requirements.
Is a new general Primary TET 2026 form open?
We have not verified a separate fresh general application notice as of the status date.
Where should results and keys be checked?
Use the WBBPE notice page and match the exact examination title and date.
Editorial note
BengalEduHub is independent and not affiliated with WBBPE. We do not collect applications. Official notices take precedence.
General TET and Special Education TET: eligibility check
Start with the full examination title printed by WBBPE. Then note the teaching category, school level, required teacher-education qualification, recognition or registration condition, cutoff date and permitted candidate group. A qualification that is accepted for a general primary TET may not automatically satisfy a specialist Special Education Teacher notice, and the reverse is also true.
Prepare an eligibility sheet using only the official advertisement and regulatory references cited in it. List your academic degree, teacher-training qualification, result date, institution and certificate status. Where the notice requires a valid category, disability or professional-registration document, confirm the issuing authority and validity date before registration. Do not rely on an institute or coaching centre to declare equivalence.
Keep every examination cycle separate
Save the advertisement, application acknowledgement, admit card, answer key, objection receipt and result under the exact examination name and date. This makes it easier to distinguish the Special Education Teacher TET held on 22 February 2026 from Primary TET 2022 processes and from any future general examination. An answer key or interview notice cannot be used as a fresh application link.
A qualifying TET and a teacher-recruitment selection are not identical stages. For school recruitment updates read the WBSSC SLST guide; for college-level eligibility see the WB SET guide. Each has a different authority, purpose and document set.
